great product for travel Jul 26, 2010 I bought this crate right before our family road trip in California. It is perfect for travel, it is easily foldable and very easy to unfold. Our dog was able to stay in our hotel room without any stress for us. We love the fact that it has a bottom that prevents any accident on carpet or floor.
I would recommend it without any reservation.

Great crates Jul 25, 2010 This is a great crate. My husband and I bought two at the time that we purchased. We still have one of them. My older dog tore up the littler one that we bought within 2 days. She had torn up the bottom sliding part of the crate. Apparently she didn't like the crate. Our younger dog still uses the crate to sleep in at night, and it was a God-send for her. She used to mess in the floor in the night, but now she makes it though the whole night without problems. If you get one of these just make sure it's big enough for your dog, and it's better to start out with it on a puppy, not an older dog.

Close to Perfect Jul 22, 2010 I have recently purchased 4 crates for my new dog. 3 of those are wire crates and all three are from different manufacturers. This LifeStages crate is the one I use in the Blazer to travel. Its coating/paint is thicker and smoother than the other crates. It folds up better for carrying. It has rubber roller "feet" where the other crates do not. It does not have sharp metal burrs or ends on the wires. The plastic handles are sturdier and more comfortable to hold than my other two crates. The doors open and shut without having to adjust them up/down. This crate came with the divider -- the others did not. I wish I had ordered this crate first--I would have chosen the same style for my "house" and "office" crates.

nice crate- good price Jul 22, 2010 Stop looking now. You won't find a nicer crate at a better price anywhere.
Well constructed (though bars seem to be slightly thinner than a much older model by the same maker)
Second door is a plus to fitting this crate into multiple locations.
Perfect big-boy home for the previously crate-trained dog. (a 10 month old aussie)
As for the complaints by earlier reviewers--
Nothing will withstand the wild, destructive "Houdini" who is introduced to the crate when all other options have been exhausted...it's just too late! (avoid problems and crate-train from the beginning when it's easy)
For the noise-sensitive who are bothered by the rattle of the spare door, tie a decorative bow on it- cute and functional.
Another reviewer suggested zip-ties for the top panel to add extra stability- a great idea for those of us who can use the extra storage space!!
Love the crate and its adjustabliity and portability..but needs to be able to do both... Jul 20, 2010 I love this crate and since my dog is still going to grow, I love the option of being able to adjust the size. That being said, once I put the divider in the crate it completely losses its quick portability. Its a pain to put the divider in and out and you cannot collapse the crate without taking the divider out. And , although I love the plastic mat floor for easy cleaning, when our dog is stand or siting in the crate, his toenails click so loud on that plastic floor. We have to put a blanket in there with him and he just loves to chew it up. I wish the crate had a softer insert or a harder rubber top to the platic mat that was comfortable for the dog and stopped the loud click of his nails on the mat! Honestly though, still a great crate!
