| | Description | It's time to return to Liberty City, the town where all the rules were broken as Grand Theft Auto 3 revolutionized gaming and made the GTA series the biggest franchise on the planet. The PlayStation Portable edition is an all-new game set in the seedy, sprawling underworld of Liberty City. Just when you thought San Andreas was all you needed in your gaming life, Rockstar today announced that it is working on a brand new Grand Theft Auto title for the PSP. As youd expect from the highly secretive Rockstar, little is known about this latest in the GTA series except that it will take place in the streets of Liberty City (from GTA III) and that it is being developed by Rockstar Leeds. What you can be sure of, is that with the power of Sonys sexy new portable behind it, GTA on PSP wont be just a rehash of the 1997 original. Built in speaker & headphone jack (3.5mm) microSD card slot MP3/4, MPG, JPG, WMA, WAV playback | |

GRAND theft auto!! Jul 16, 2010 Loved it!!... I can`t put it down. It`s worth every penny. Love it, love it, loooooove it.
Not for the children. Jun 19, 2010 Let me make this clear, I do not like any of the G.T.A. series. The only reason I like this one is because it is more "calm" then the others. No F-Bomb every other word, no extreme sexual refferances. However people it is still an M rated game and is for a reason. The violence level is still high and the destruction you must bring is severe. It still has a ton of F-Bombs, but no where near as the others.
The blood is very cartoonish. Example, if you shoot someone in the head with a sniper, the head blows off and that person flails their arms for a few brief seconds while unrealisticly ammounts of blood pump out the neck and fly everywhere. Then the blood pools which is very small compared to some games. The random dialog for NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) can be funny, normal, or insulting. Example, if you stand in front of a car the driver might say:
"I'm trying to cruise for p****y here!"
Please note that the lines are all random and there is no way of telling when it could fly out again.
Parents, if your child wants this I'm telling you right up front. If they are under 17 and you care, don't buy it. Even though this is a sort of "watered down" version, it is still aimed at 17+ party. There are drugs, murder, destruction, language, and blood (which I've allready said is cartoonish.) Please take all reviews you can before making a serious decicion about purchasing for your kid.
Only halfway through but in love. May 30, 2010 It did not take long for me to realize how amazing this game is. The city is enormous, it would be big even on a console. The missions are surprisingly un-repetitive, veterans of the series will know what I mean. The city layout is very unbalanced, which I mean in a good way, being that the everywhere is pretty unique. I never feel like I am going around in the same places, there are areas that I can recognize and anyone can become familiar with the city. It would probably take awhile though as it is fairly complex.
The controls are excellent, movement is very easy after awhile and driving is amazing. The only problem is that aiming weapons can be a tad tough, the targeting system is a bit problematic as it homes in on one target, then you can cycle one at a time to the left or right. It isn't particularly easy to get that one guy bothering you behind your back. Manual aiming can be preferable, but I wish there were sensitivity adjustments because trying to make quick adjustments, well, isn't doable.
There is still a huge variety of vehicles and weaponry, plenty of costumes, and quite a good bit of "GTA Politics." (Rival gangs will shoot at you and friendly ones will occasionally help you out)
I have been playing for about 5 days now, with a lot of time put in and I have only just hit the 50% mark for the story completion. I really look forward to the next half of it and I know I will continue to play after I am done.
A sure 10/10
Great times! Mar 22, 2010 The game is lots of fun because you can follow missions or just mess around in the city its self. there are other things you can do like race or ride a dirt bike through courses.
Not my favorite Feb 15, 2010 Not my favorite in the series, but still good.Okay graphics, plenty of ways to kill people to pass time.
