A Solid netbook with a minor problem Nov 09, 2009 I got this netbook because my wife and I travel overseas very often and needed a computer to Skype with. We also wanted it so we could edit papers and do standard internet surfing while travelling. Ultimately the netbook has lived up to the expectations. The 120 GB hard-drive also meant that we could store more than enough media to pass the time on long plane flights. The only problem, though it was a serious was, was that the netbook wouldn't recognize a battery. This meant that it always had to be plugged in to work; this, of course, defeated the entire purpose of the netbook. This problem, however was because of an old BiOS. The tech support gave the proper file, and after flashing the BiOS the netbook worked fantastically.
Pros:
Small portable size
Large Hard-drive for storing any files you may need
Built-in microphone and camera, great for Skyping
Built-in multi-card reader for any and all media needs.
Cons:
a little slow on the boot-up but definitely within expectations
May have a problem with recognizing battery, though this can be fixed as well
I take it everywhere Oct 23, 2009 love this netbook. bought the upgrade from 1G to 2G took 5 minutes to install.I throw it in the car when I go out and it works great. Have used it out of the country and had no problems. Battery life is up to 6 hours and recharges pretty fast.I have large hands and the keyboard is very comfortable and the keys are large enough that I do not hit mulitiple keys. very happy.
Big convenience in a small package Jun 16, 2009 The Acer Aspire netbook fits easily into a briefcase/large purse. It's small size and light weight makes it great for travel or lap use. It has all of the features I need with the exception of CD-rom. I'd definitely recommend it.
computer Jun 12, 2009 connecting to the internet is a pain in the neck. It's the major use of the computer. No way to figure it out and tech support stinks.
Real portatil PC. Jun 11, 2009 This is a real personal computer. It is light and you can reach everything around the Earth planet. The best, the price.
